The objective of this research was to discover the determinant social economic factors of community forest conversion into cultivation area in Maros Regency. This reseach utilized the regression analysis to the determinant of the conversion. The factor that had the highest positive influence was the income gained from the conversion of community forest land into the cultivation land .
